We're a family building a farm meant to be visited — fields you can pick from, animals your children can meet, a shop stocked from the ground it sits on, and a barn to gather in when the season calls for it. Minutes from Fuquay-Varina and Angier.
What we're building
Three things, done properly, rather than a dozen done thinly. Here's the shape of it.
For the family
A day out in the field
Animals to meet and feed, an open-air play area built for climbing, and rows you can walk into and pick yourself — berries, pumpkins in the fall, and an acre of sunflowers standing well over your head.

A shop worth the drive
Produce picked the same morning, a weekly box for families who want the season handed to them, and the shelf-stable end of the harvest — jams, pickles, honey and the like — put up in our own kitchen.

A place to gather
A barn built for weddings, reunions and company days, looking out over the pasture. And come December, a grove of our own Christmas trees lit for an evening walk through the cold.

The land comes first
It starts with 186 acres off River Road — pasture, hardwood and pine, a pond, and two barns already standing. We've spent the last stretch doing the unglamorous part: clearing, surveying, cutting farm roads, turning pine over to pasture, and learning every low spot and drainage line on the place.
The public side of the farm — the shop, the fields you'll walk, the play area — is going on a second property nearby, and we're looking for the right one now. We'd rather take the time to get that piece right than open somewhere that doesn't suit it.
When there's a gate to open, the people on this list will hear about it first.

Be there for the first season
No dates to give you yet — a farm opens when the land and the season say so, not when a website does. Leave your address and we'll tell you the moment that changes.
